The Robbie Mitchell Scholarship

The scholarship provides up to 50% of the fees to undertake either a Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Master’s Degree in Adolescent Health.

The scholarship is named in loving memory of Robbie Mitchell, son of a Rotarian. It was an initiative of Robbie’s family, friends and fellow Rotarians.

The Rotary Club has awarded eleven Robbie Mitchell Scholarships since 2012, and the Rotary Club of Brighton North has now provided a total of twenty-nine since 1996.

The Silk Miller Scholarship

The Rotary Central Melbourne supports Youth Suicide Awareness by offering a Silk Miller Scholarship to a serving member of Victoria Police.

The scholarship provides up to 50% of the fees to undertake either a certificate or Graduate Diploma in Adolescent Health.

It was named in honour of officers Sergeant Gary Silk and Senior Constable Rodney Miller who lost their lives in the line of duty in 1998.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to someone developing a mental health problem or is in a mental health crisis.

The first aid is given until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis resolves.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to train adults to assist young people in mental health crisis situations and/or in the early stage of mental health illness.
